Stafford Railway Building Society is the only regional Building Society in Stafford.It has 22 staff (part time and full time) and a Board of 6 non-executive and 2 executive directors. Its core services are providing mortgages and savings and it takes pride in providing a professional and friendly service.
The Role
You will be a key new member of the management team with responsibility for IT throughout the Society. You will maintain and improve the Society’s existing IT infrastructure, creating a stable base from which change can safely be delivered; develop and maintain close relationships with major suppliers; keep the management team informed of service levels, progress on the delivery of change as well as events being planned; manage incidents and work closely with suppliers to resolve any issues; work with management to achieve operational goals.
The Candidate
You will be a manager with appropriate professional qualifications, a progressive career gained either within a small bank, building society or from the retail sector; will be knowledgeable about the IT environment necessary for small/medium financial institutions and the likely issues you might encounter; will have the necessary depth of experience to manage appropriate IT suppliers; will be a calm head in understanding problems and working out the best and most practical solutions.
