Job Description
Main Objectives:
  • To support the Exploration Manager in the budget and planning cycle, monitoring the progress and the performances of the exploration activities and proposing the necessary actions in case of deviation from the work program and budget.
  • In the framework of the approval process of the exploration projects, to activate and monitor the planning of the needed assurance reviews (prospects technical validation, technical and economical validation of the exploration projects) and the reporting on discovery declarations.
  • To co-ordinate the process of classification/certification of the exploration wells and lease holding of the subsidiary.
  • To promote actions to support the Exploration Manager in minimising the risks of non-conformity compared to Company requirements.
Contribute in the following activities:
  • To ensure that the exploration prospect portfolio database is constantly updated with the most current technical and economic evaluation.
  • To run prospect portfolio analysis to support the Exploration Manager in elaborating exploration strategies.
  • To ensure that all current exploration projects are compliant with the Company’s internal technical and economic validation process and that they are accordingly taken through the relevant validation gates as established by the Exploration Management System Guidelines (MSG).
  • To ensure that the expenses of the ongoing exploration projects are fully authorised as established by the Exploration Management System Guidelines (MSG).
  • To co-ordinate the classification process of the exploration wells according to Companies guidelines, procedures, accounting principles and industry standards, involving the related Company functions.
  • To assure, according to Company deadlines, the completeness and the traceability of the information, providing a timely update of the SEC classification system of the exploration wells.
  • To ensure full adherence to the Company’s Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures and standards.
Desired Expertise: Financial planning; project analysis
Minimum Education: Bachelors/3-5 years Degree or equivalent
